Keeneland Sales Graduates Sweep Weekend Graded Stakes

LEXINGTON, KY (Dec. 11, 2017) – Keeneland sales graduates won the weekend’s three graded stakes, led by the Los Alamitos CashCall Futurity (G1) and Starlet (G1), both preps on the Road to the Kentucky Derby (G1) and Kentucky Oaks (G1), respectively. At Los Alamitos on Saturday, Keeneland September Yearling Sale alumni McKinzieInstilled Regard and Solomini took the top three spots in the Futurity, while Dream Tree remained undefeated with an easy win in the Starlet.

LEXINGTON, KY (Nov. 24, 2017) – Keeneland sales graduates comprise half the entries for the Kentucky Jockey Club (G2) and Golden Rod (G2) at Churchill Downs on Saturday. Both stakes award points on the 2018 Roads to the Kentucky Derby (G1) and Kentucky Oaks (G1). Headlining the Kentucky Jockey Club are the 1-2 finishers in the recent Street Sense Stakes at Churchill Downs, Gotta Go and Lone Sailor. Undefeated fillies Monomoy Girl, winner of the recent Rags to Riches Stakes at Churchill Downs, and Stronger Than Ever highlight the field for the Golden Rod.   

Keeneland Sales Graduate Order of St George (IRE) Earns Cartier Award

LEXINGTON, KY (Nov. 15, 2017) – For the second consecutive year, Keeneland sales graduate Order of St George (IRE) has received the Cartier Racing Award as Europe’s champion stayer. The awards, European racing’s equivalent of the Oscars, were presented Tuesday in London.

Order of St George, one of a record 27 Group 1 winners trained by Aidan O’Brien this year, is a 5-year-old son of Galileo (IRE) who maintained a high level of form throughout the year, led by a 9-length victory in the Comer Group Irish St. Leger (G1).
