Keeneland 2017 November Sale Graduate Midnight Crossing (IRE) Finds Immediate Success in Grade 3 Robert J. Frankel

LEXINGTON, KY (Jan. 2, 2018) – Keeneland 2017 November Breeding Stock Sale graduate Midnight Crossing (IRE)made an immediate return on investment for new owners Abbondanza Racing and Medallion Racing when she won the Robert J. Frankel (G3) on Saturday at Santa Anita.

Another 2017 November Sale graduate, Code Warrior, captured the Abundantia Stakes on New Year’s Day at Gulfstream. Code Warrior initially sold as a yearling at Keeneland’s 2014 January Horses of All Ages Sale.

Keeneland Sales Alumni Dominate Entries for Futurity, Starlet

LEXINGTON, KY (Dec. 8, 2017) – Keeneland sales alumni take center stage in Saturday’s Los Alamitos CashCall Futurity (G1) and Starlet (G1), preps on the Road to the Kentucky Derby (G1) and Kentucky Oaks (G1), respectively. Four juveniles entered in the Futurity are Keeneland September Yearling Sale alumni, including Grade 1-placed Solomini, Golden Nugget winner Runaway Ghost and impressive maiden winner McKinzie.

Big Bend Much the Best in Winning Sycamore

LEXINGTON, KY (Oct. 19, 2017) – Union Rags Racing’s Big Bend swept to the front at midstretch with a powerful burst and then had more than enough left in the tank to hold off Nessy by three-quarters of a length and win the 23rd running of the $100,000 Sycamore (G3) for 3-year-olds and up before a Thursday afternoon crowd of 11,324.

Trained by Tom Proctor and ridden by Drayden Van Dyke, Big Bend covered the 1½ miles on a firm Keeneland turf course in 2:33.24. It was the first win in the race for Proctor and Van Dyke.

Keeneland September Graduates Collected, Order of St George Win Pacific Classic, Irish St. Leger Trial

LEXINGTON, KY (Aug. 21, 2017) – Graduates of Keeneland’s 2014 September Yearling Sale finished 1-2-3 in the $1 million TVG Pacific Classic (G1) at Del Mar on Saturday. Collected earned his third graded stakes win this year, leading at every call to score a half-length victory over stablemate and champion Arrogate followed by Accelerate in third.   

Keeneland September Sale Graduate Bricks and Mortar, Sharp Samurai Win Graded Stakes at Saratoga, Del Mar

LEXINGTON, KY (Aug. 7, 2017) – Keeneland September Yearling Sale graduates accounted for graded stakes on both coasts this weekend. Bricks and Mortar kept his perfect record intact with a late surge to win the National Museum of Racing Hall of Fame (G2) at Saratoga on Friday. The Giant's Causeway colt, who did not race at two, is four-for-four this year as a sophomore. On Sunday at Del Mar, the talented Sharp Samurai overcame challenges to win the La Jolla (G3).
